Maths

Description: In maths the teachers sent a slide to make a copy of our own so everybody in poutama did. We did a math rich task work sheet and we did two we had to deflect on it.

Discovery reflection

In discovery there were different activities to do. For the fist hour and 3 quarters I did war with the imaginz. The 20 minutes before pack up I broke a fan with Troy and a group of boys. We tried to brake the motor of the fan. I learnt that it is very hard to break a fan motor with a group of 4 boys helping. I enjoyed breaking the motor with Sam, Angus m, jack w, juven and Logan b. 

Evalituion: I think I did well in discovery because I did two different things. Next time I would want to stay on the breaking the fan.

Feedback: nice work breaking the fan and pulling it apart
Feedforward: next time add more information about the war.

Science

Description: In science we have been learning about the weather. We got into little groups and fletcher and I were in a group. We researched about volcanoes but we didn't get to do our experiment. We made a video that explaineds a bit about volcanoes. Hope you enjoy

SLC (student led conference) reflection

Description: The teacher set a task for the class after the stundent led conference. Every one in pouts a did this after there stundent led confrenece we reflected on it.

1) How do you think you did on your SLC? I think I did well because I talked good. What was the highlight? When my parents said that my report was good.
2) What did you do differently to make your SLC stand out? I did nothing really differently but I changed  a post differently that ws my sea turtle one.
3) How will you make your Home Led Conference in Term 3 be awesome? What things might you do to make it awesome? By making my post better and taking clearly to my parents.
Evaluation: I think I did well because I speaked well and didn't worry about. Next time I should not get distracted.

Sea turtle writing

Description: In reading we have been learning about note taking of the life of a sea turtle. We watched a video that gave us ideas of sea turtles so we could go research a bit more of the sea turtle. We researched the life of the sea turtle and the species.

Sea turtles. They have been around since the late Jurassic roughly 150,000,000 years ago. They have survived from the challenges of the dinosaurs. The turtles life phase is. From egg to hatch to beach to ocean to mature to breed. The eggs are as big as ping pong balls. When they hatch there are threats. The threats are crabs, seagulls,rubbish and humans, when they get into the ocean there are even more threats to the sea turtles. The threats are fish, sharks, orcas, seagulls, oil spills and Fishermen.

The mother sea turtle lay 1,000 eggs, 800 hatch, 400 make it to sea. 200 progress to adult. 20 survive to breeding age without any interference, 2 survive with interference. Turtles are reptiles with hard shells. That protect them from predators. They are among the oldest and most primitive groups of reptiles.  Having evolved millions of years ago. Turtles live all over the world in almost every type of climate. There are different types of species of turtles there are loggerhead sea turtles, cheloniidae, leatherback, hawksbill and olive ridley.


There were species of sea turtles when the late jurassic like I said before in the story. The species of the jurassic. There is the Archelon, Toxochelyidae and Thalassemydidae. Very long names. Did you know that have a hard shell that protects them like a shield this upper shell is called carapace. Also turtles also have a lower shell called a plastron. The turtles grow up to the size of a dinner table. The turtles that make it as adults repeat the progress. I would rather be a shark. Because it doesn't die as easy as the turtle.
